Founder of Gruzimania – and a guide at heart
Hi, I’m Matej, 34 – and hopelessly in love… with Georgia.
The first time I travelled there a few years ago, I had no idea what to expect – and I left as a completely different person.
That country simply went straight to my heart.
Wild nature, kind-hearted people, incredible food… and my other half (that’s my wife) found her own love there – in wine.

Georgia isn’t a place you can “tick off” with one trip. Every time, I discover something new and extraordinary – and that’s exactly what I want you to experience too.
I’m not the kind of guide who waves a flag and follows a script.
Travelling with me feels more like a trip with a friend – someone who’ll show you what others don’t see.
Hidden villages, family-run wineries, quiet places untouched by tourists, moments of adventure, seaside chill, delicious food, and memories you’ll pack for life.

The heart and soul of Gruzimania
My name is Veronika, and if you asked me what a perfect day looks like, my answer would be simple: Georgian wine, freshly baked khachapuri, and a walk along the Batumi promenade.
Together with my husband Matej, we make up the Gruzimania team – he takes care of showing you the most beautiful sides of Georgia, while I make sure everything runs smoothly and safely behind the scenes.
Veronika
My role is mostly behind the scenes – I communicate with trusted local partners, arrange accommodation, book flights, and take care of all those small but important details that turn a trip into a truly memorable experience.
Everything I do is with comfort and safety in mind – so that you can focus on just one thing: enjoying Georgia to the fullest.
This country captured my heart from the very first visit.
There’s something magical about it – from the majestic mountains and historic towns to the people who welcome you as if you were part of their own family.
And the Georgian cuisine? That’s a story of its own!
But what stole my heart completely is the wine. Traditional qvevri wines are my absolute favourite – and I’m sure that once you taste them, you’ll understand why I speak about them with such passion.
I look forward to every traveller who joins us on this journey and allows us to show Georgia through our eyes – honest, passionate, adventurous, and full of love for every detail.
